Hi! I am Janis Jean!

I'm a semi-retired professional photographer living in Deep Cover on Vancouver Island. I'm also mom to am amazing daughter, wife to an awesome guy and dog mom to Frankie - a very lovable but equally naughty Flat Coated Retriever.

I have always loved being creative and telling stories through my camera. Travel is a big part of that, whether I am exploring Canada in our RV or heading farther afield. The UK and Italy in particular is a favourite.

I'm a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs - Frankie can confirm he is thoroughly spoiled! I love a good British Crime series on BritBox, can't imagine starting my day without at least two cups of coffee and am sill happily old school when it comes to reading the morning news paper.

These days, I am working on my lifelong dream: creating a coffee table book celebrating the Farm Stands of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and the growers and makers behind them.
